NAACP Nashville Branch President

Jonathan Williamson is a third generation Nashville Native from a God fearing family of public servants, triumphant athletes and dedicated workers in this historic fabric Middle Tennessee. ​

Following graduating high school at Nashville School of the Arts, Jonathan chose to attend Middle Tennessee State University to achieve a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication; minoring in African American Studies and Sociology. While a student at MTSU, Jonathan continued his path for community change and service by joining the collegiate chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
After graduating MTSU, Jonathan continued his community involvement by serving within various community leadership organizations including the Urban League Young Professionals of Middle Tennessee, the Nashville African Street Festival, the Davidson County Democratic Party Executive Committee and the NAACP Nashville Branch.

Currently serving as the President of the NAACP Nashville Branch, Jonathan is dedicated to preserving the history and legacy of community advocacy and social justice reform for all.

With faith and family being a guiding compass in his life, Jonathan takes fatherhood seriously and gives unconditional love to his two daughters.

Jonathan believes that we are at our best when we are servicing our communities with tools to produce equitable rewards towards our future.
